Re: Oldschool TV ships?
(Anonymous) 2013-08-19 02:13 am (UTC)(link)Lucy/Ricky and Lucy/Ethel (I Love Lucy) The latter more for the fic potential than anything, actually.
Barney/Thelma Lou (Andy Griffith) (I still sometimes get mad when I think about how they didn't get married when he left, tbh)
Ralph/Alice (The Honeymooners)
Starsky/Hutch
Anthony Nelson/Jeannie
Richie/Fonzie (mainly earlier on, when the Fonz was more of a loner and not the center of attention)
I mostly like Buddy and Sally (Dick Van Dyke) as platonic bffs, but sometimes I get a big kick thinking about the potential for not-allowed-in-'60s-TV romantic storylines with them too...
On another note, one of my very few hateships ever is Samantha/Darrin #2. I liked Samantha/Darrin #1, but Darrin #2 was a nope.
Re: Oldschool TV ships?
Also, forgot a couple:
Maxwell Smart/Agent 99
Hawkeye/Trapper and Hawkeye/Margaret (M*A*S*H) (I could never get behind Hawkeye/BJ due the the importance of fidelity to BJ's characterization)
