This may be because I'm a Brit (and dumb) but in what context is gypsy a slur? I've seen it used by several people, but never seen offence over it. And I read somewhere that you can use it in specific circumstances, maybe? I'm not saying that that makes using it right (and I never personally have, for several reasons), I'm just... confused. Is this an American thing, or an everyone thing I was unaware of?
