you're not wrong, even if you get yelled at for this. there's no reason for assigning gender to the machine any which way.

I figure if someone is making a fic with the robots being sentient, they might want to assign a gender (if nothing else to not use it). But really, it is just as likely a 'he' as a 'she'.

Gipsy is called a she...once, and pretty late in the movie.

Not according to everyone on here. I can only assume the main characters will all wear shirts that say, "Gipsy! She is wonderful" (heh I just heard that in my head as Cecil's voice).
