I live in the UK. A public figure whose remarks are reported in the paper does not constitute a fandom.

Apart from slightly nutty diehard Royalists - a tiny minority - most people, even pro-monarchy people, think he is, at best, an anachronistic bad joke. There is little public affection or respect for him and he is not taken seriously by anyone.
