lol. There's no way he's going to win.

To be honest, there's no way he's even going to make the Olympic team.

Due to US Men's non-spectacular performance at World's last year, there are only two spots. Johnny is way out of shape and hasn't competed much at all since Vancouver. My guess for the US Mens representatives? Max Aaron and Jeremy Abbott (... providing Jeremy manages to not be a head case at nationals).

I have to agree it's unlikely, but figure skating (like gymnastics) is a sport where you can never assume someone's going to be able to perform at any particular time. The injury rate is astounding.

He's not going to win, but I wouldn't totally outrule him making the team. He could have a knockout performance at nats (or even a pretty decent one with everything else bombing) and place and I have no doubt they'd send him if he did. He'd bring a ton of attention to Team USA.

That being said, the state of US singles skating is just... kind of dismal on the whole. It's so depressing.

(But at least we have ice dance.)

Eh... The USFSA doesn't really like Johnny. So if they can get out of sending him... they will. So yeah. Johnny would have to place 1st or 2nd at nationals to go. And honestly idk. Max Aaron is pretty good. Jeremy Abbott can be AMAZING when he doesn't implode. Evan is apparently attempting a comeback so who knows how that will go. And even Ross Miner can be decent.

US Mens singles is a disaster.

US Pairs is just... it's best if we don't talk about it.

US Womens has some up and comers, but idk if they'll be at their peak in time for Sochi.

US Ice Dance, however. HEARTS IN MY EYES FOR MERYL AND CHARLIE. The Shibtanis are great with the right programs. Madison and Evan are pretty good too.

Oh no he'd definitely have to place first or second.

But yeah I've noticed they don't really like him either, but I think NBC would eat his presence right up and I have a hard time believing they aren't at all influenced by what the television networks want.

MERYL AND CHARLIE ARE AMAZING. Gosh I just want them to take the gold so badly.
