The frame alone was almost certainly a few hundred bucks because anything more than the pressboard junk Target sells will cost at least $150 to frame something over 14x11 and be able to support the glass, which will cost at least another $50 if you go the super cheap route. For something 24x36 with regular glass, the average cost of framing without mattes is $450.

Roommates say the real thing is over 4ft wide and that the frame looks 'glorious', so yeah, must have been some serious money. I just. We live in a shitty four-room apartment and I have no idea where they are even going to put this fucking thing.
