If I did something really bad I would get video game, telephone or internet privileges taken away, stopping me from going out never worked because I didn't go out. I was well-behaved generally(bar occasional bouts of brattiness but my parents just rolled their eyes and ignored me whenever I got like that) so these weren't common occurrences and most of the time if I did something wrong my parents would be angry with me rather than 'ground' me in any sense.
