It's not even just that he's a misogynist, he's a complete reprehensible monster to everyone he comes into contact with.

Misogyny aside: Fantasizing about sexing (->being loved) by a monster is basically a very egotistical idea. Because the worse the monster, the better the girl/angel must be who could hope to tame him/make him human.

It's one of the most common fantasies around and it's why "Beauty and the Beast" is a classic. It's why "Jaildate"-services are popular and why Nazis are common fantasy-fodder. It can of course be very unhealthy to hook up with a violent criminal once he gets out.
