The problem often is, when you don't speak the language, it's difficult to get even a beginner's grasp of what's out there and where to start. If I discover a musical tradition, or a band from another country, it's often down to serendipity... e.g. someone like you points me to a specific performer or piece of music.

Also, it's unrealistic to expect anyone to be familiar with all music in all languages. I listen to and enjoy music from Ireland, Japan, Georgia, Mongolia, Spain. Maybe I'll get around to Finland eventually :-)
