I just looked up a number for my grandmother and promptly started laughing when it turned out to be a guy called Viggo Mortensen (though most likely not the actor). A combination of tiredness and the absurdity of Aragorn calling my nana just made me laugh till I cried while my grandmother stood by confused as hell.

So, what have made you laugh recently, Fandom!Secrets?

ALL the ABOFAL; also, the writing of the kid I'm tutoring. You know how kids write in that deadly serious way? I tried not to laugh, but it was adorable.

Saints Row IV. ALL OF IT.

Last night I told my brother about something bad that happened to me and his ACTUAL reply was "Wow, the worst part about that is that I was just a few feet away from you when it happened-- It could have happened to ME!"

I don't know why but I laughed at that for about an hour.

I do enjoy watching the Dodgers lose in creative ways, which they did today. There were four weird double plays, including Puig getting caught off first on fly balls TWICE. Unfortunately it was to the Red Sox, but the Dodgers making stupid plays is fine by me.

I watched the Chuck Hansen tag on tumblr explode because the writer has confirmed that yes, he's dead, and they're all crying about how unfair and unrealistic and how just for the plot his death was. But then, these fans height of sensibility is asking the creators if he died a virgin or not...

But I laughed, because fuck you overly dramatic tag

It's a movie about giant robots fighting giant monsters from another dimension and people are saying the unrealistic part is where someone died.

Personally, I liked that they flipped the typical narrative there and had the hunky son be the one to die rather than the father heroically sacrifice himself and the son learns some humility because if it.

(Also, I actually had to google this character's name to remind myself who this was, and I found out that the actors playing father and son are only 14 years apart in age!)

I now feel bad for the writer because they're basically being spammed with "BUT WHY DID THIS BLOND GUY OUT OF OUR THREE BLOND GUYS DIE"

He's taking it well though, and basically going "No we're not going to do a Coulson" so thank fuck for that.

Less laughing more disbelief at fan entitlement now.

Robots. Minor secondary character doesn't fucking matter

Animal Crossing antics, and Streetpass antics. I recently finished Warrior's Way, got the crown for finishing it, and equipped it on my Mii, and changed my greeting to "Here to conquer!" So my girlfriend went to Target with our 3DSes to get tags off their kiosk and a couple guys who work there who carry their 3DSes with them, and when she got home, one of the guys had a custom greeting for me, in which his Mii was cowering and saying "No conquering!" So I sent him a custom greeting back, saying "ALL THE CONQUERING!"

For some reason I find this hilarious, and we've now friended each other on Facebook. Which is also hilarious.

Oh yeah, and karaoke the other night. In hopes of outdoing a group that did "Baby Got Back", I sang AC/DC's "Big Balls", and my girlfriend sang Da Vinci's Notebook's "Enormous Penis". I think the bar loves us now.

I went bowling yesterday for the first time in like... a year, and we were assigned to the only lane still available. It was lane five.

Alas, I did not get to avenge Carlos' perfect hair. (Seriously, my final score was 47 and I got twelve gutter balls. I. Can't. Bowl XD)
