It made me sad to find out Aidan Turner is in this because I knew this movie wouldn't be any good. I tried to read the first book but I just get so irritated at CC's writing style. It just never clicked right with me. I would've been surprised if it had done well.

I agree with you. Sure, I have only known about Aidan Turner as a result of The Hobbit, but I like the way he's played Kili, so I want him to do well.
