How I enjoy music comes down to about 60% music and 40% lyrics. If something has fucking stupid lyrics, or lyrics that are obnoxious or whatever, then that's going to seriously impact whether or not I like the song. It doesn't matter if the music is the best I've ever heard, if the guy from Creed is mumbling about Jesus feels over it, I won't like the song.

I still listen to a shitload of music in languages I don't speak, but I generally research the bands and their lyrics before I get into them (I don't want to support/share a band that promotes racism, homophobia, religious intolerance, etc.). There's been a lot of songs over the years that I wasn't comfortable listening to when I learned the meaning.
