I like them all right if I feel like the author really put some thought into them, that there's a good reason behind this crossover, good world-building etc. I hate crossovers that are lazy and cheap and just a random attempt at throwing different stuff together, whether it works or not.

The only crossovers I LOVE are His Dark Materials crossovers because daemons are awesome.

Also, there was this secret where the OP was sad that there aren't more crossovers with exotic/rare animals as daemons, so I always try to consider more options than just the standard cat/dog/wolf ones.

I don't know about the exact terminology there. I use crossover for anything that combines different fandoms, even if it's just "introducing daemons into another fandom".

Hey, they technically could be crossover fics rather than fusion because of all the alternate universes in HDM.

I just call them daemon!aus and leave it at that.
