(Anonymous) 2013-08-25 09:29 pm (UTC)(link)But yeah, I kind of hope the same thing. I think Nintendo should stick to developing their handheld consoles and ditch home consoles all together. I bought a Wii and after a while it just became a brick that collected dust in my living room. The Wii U is just a fancier Wii, and I have no desire to own one.
Not to mention that I am tired of the same franchises getting beaten into the ground every time a new Nintendo console comes out. It's always another Mario, another Zelda, another Super Smash Brothers, etc, etc. Same shit, different console. I know that there's still a bunch of rabid Nintendo fans out there who are keeping them afloat, but can we have something NEW for a change?

Still, I agree overall. It's not like they're doing a great job on releases for the franchises, either. They couldn't even try and aim for an end-of-year release on product like SSB? That would've pushed a lot of consoles.
