Spock has lightly tanned light skin, short black hair and is wearing a warm-looking white coat, the fluffy kind for a cold climate. Kirk has light skin that looks burned and a few scrapes on his forehead, short dark hair, and is wearing a white shirt and a red suit jacket or sweater?]

I wish I could find just ONE good Kirk/Spock fic where having sex during pon farr *doesn't* result in a super-duper mystical automatic permanent mindlink bond that the author spends one thousand words describing even though it's entirely unneeded. I have nothing against the trope per se, but what, is them getting together with their *own* emotions as the focus and with their minds intact not special enough?
