Eh, Nintendo kind of lost me when Miyamoto said there probably wouldn't ever be another F-Zero title since they can't come up with anything for it, which imho is lousy reasoning. (Guess he never thought of online play?). They can shit out the same formula for Mario games, but somehow, they get cold feet at F-Zero. Okay then.

That said, my Bro owns a Wii U and... there's really nothing that remarkable about it. Plus, first party titles are usually what carries a Nintendo system and I honestly don't see anything worth getting hyped over at this point. Maybe the new Super Smash Bros game, but I'm being generous.

They lost me when they forgot about the Metroid series entirely. It's not even Other M's existence that bothers me (the gameplay isn't so bad) but its the lack of anything since. I'll be sad if Other M killed it. It's my favourite Nintendo franchise.

Nintendo's gut reaction to a game in one of their somewhat lesser known franchises that fails to sell the numbers they like is to put it out of sight and mind, save for the occasional bone thrown in Smash Brothers. (After F-Zero: GP Legend bombed, that was p. much the end of the the F-Zero series, looking back on it 10 years later)

I'd imagine they probably would want to wait until whatever stigma Other M has worn off in the public eye, since from my understanding, the reaction was really polarizing. Which, imho, would be a huge shame, since Nintendo needs to stop relying on "safe" franchises like Mario, Zelda, and Pokemon, especially if they want to bolster the Wii U's sales numbers.

I love Mirialans (next to Sith Purebloods and Chiss, they're my favorite race in the game), so it's always awesome to see others recognize them. =D
