I appreciate your realism, but... wouldn't that be kind of weird? Everybody had leg hair back then, so unless there was something unusual about it, it'd just be another mundane thing. Commenting on it would sort of be like, "Hey girl, I love how you've got those two shell-like appendages growing out of the sides of your head, 'cause that's way hot", etc.

It's usually a really tiny comment. I mention it in the narration, or someone thinks that their partner's hair is soft/a nice colour/lovely. People love all kind of strange things about their lovers.
