You know what this makes me think of? Hobbit (the race) fanart where they are depicted with a lonely puff of fluff on their feet and bare legs.

I have only seen one piece of fanart that depicts Bilbo with hair going continuously from his foot right up his leg. By my logic, that should be how Hobbit hair should work, with foot hair being an extension of leg hair.

And this crosses both genders, since all hobbits have foot hair, and being country folk, I don't expect they shave their legs.

What, they don't have razors in the country now? It's not like they're all overworked peasants with not a second to spare. I mean, I don't picture Hobbits as shaving in general either, but 'country folk'...

I kind of imagine Hobbit foot hair as being coarser / more noticeable than leg hair though...

Ehh, point taken. I still don't think they'd be inclined to shave their legs, for the same reason they don't shave their foot hair off.
