I frequently ship threesomes. I even name threesomes as one of my cast-iron kinks.

Thing is, it's not a solution for shipping. Why? Because it's harder to find threesome fics than any of the composite pairings that they contain.

Besides, I do not believe in shipping a threesome if I don't like the character combination. I have to want those particular three together. Just like I have to want the two in a pairing together.

I've shipped a foursome before as well. Only one though. I tried to get my head around another foursome in a different fandom, but I couldn't make it work and dialed it back to a threesome I could make work in my mind.

TL;DR - As much as I love threesomes, I only love them if I think the characters work well together. Also, threesome fics are rare.
