I disagree and think you're bitching about nothing - Arwen and Eowyn were both badass and done well in the movies. I am actually sure Tauriel will be fine, especially when she placed in the larger context of the hot mess that the Hobbit trilogy is shaping up to be (and I say that with all love). The only thing that annoys me about any of their characterisations (or in Tauriel's case, her existence) is that there is a purist part of me that thinks PJ shouldn't mess around with what Tolkien wrote.
