What kind of work do you do? You can get some freelance jobs online.

There's r/forhire (http://www.reddit.com/r/forhire/) (I know Reddit is a blacklisted place for some poeple, but the specific subreddits are usually ok), for example. Or try doing some work at the Mechanical Turk (https://www.mturk.com/mturk/), but they only take US citizens for workers and the pay is pretty low. I know none of these places substitute an actual job, but maybe you can get some quick cash to get you through these difficult times.

Best of luck.

I wouldn't recommend mturk, unless it's really the last available option. The pay is horrible and if the requester decides that they won't pay you at all, there's nothing you can do. You might get some pocket money, but that's it.

I use this script to avoid grouchy or scammy requesters: http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/86975
But yeah, I've been on it for three years and have made $500 total. I think the most I ever got at once was $20 for a two-part survey, and I don't have a bank account or anything, so I just use it to order small stuff from Amazon.

See also http://taskrabbit.com in some areas - I've met people who've made decent part-time income from it. Unfortunately it's limited to just a few cities. (ETA: ooh, it's expanded since I last looked at it, but it's still only in 14 US cities.)
