The only reason I do not consider suicide as a good option is because I'm fucking afraid of pain

(that being said, my situation in this regard is really, really stable. I'm not going to get access to any means of committing suicide painlessly in, like, decades, if at all. And it is absolutely bloody certain that I'll never settle on a painful version)

The only reason I don't consider suicide an option is because I'm terrified of screwing it up and living with permanent damage or scars.

Not to mention the obsessive concern from people whose concern you really don't want. If nothing else, there'll be eyes on you to make it harder for you to try again.

And honestly I think that's a valid reason. I've used it as a way to talk myself down before, because usually when you google "best way to kill yourself" you'll find things saying "these are the methods of suicide, and here's how they could and probably will go wrong".

Same.
I don't have the bottle to do anything drastic and affective involving razors and baths and the like. I live in the UK so a gun is out of the question. and no amount of tablets seem to take effect. I downed 3 bottles of painkillers last week. Didn't even throw up.

IIRC, there was a book around in the '90s, that was purported a DIY kill-yourself manual, but the whole direction of the book was "These are your options - THIS IS HOW IT CAN GO TERRIBLY WRONG DO YOU WANT TO DO THIS ahaha.
