I agree that that is an issue whenever you make fun of certain arguments/groups, but in this particular case the first seemed to be going after such low-hanging fruit intelligence-wise that I figured it was too hard to disagree with? I was a fool.

Like in the first panel. The demonstration of the thinking "You vastly prefer A to B? Well then you hate B. AND ME TOO. >:C" This is simpleton asshole logic and it affects people on all sides in arguments. If you're (for example) liberal, then you think of the conservatives that annoy you, and vice versa. I see this one as universal as making fun of "dumb people" is.

I do see that the later panels get more specific and single out certain trends, but I thought overall it was still kind of tame. The super butthurt response took me totally by surprise.
