Crows are some of the few animals who can not only use tools for getting food but also use tools as toys just for fun.

They can also communicate on a pretty complex level and can remember things like human faces over a long time.

I've seen some documentaries that they did about crows and their ability to remember faces, they did something like put on masks to scare the crows and the crows remembered the faces of those people(it was a while ago that I saw it so I can't remember what exactly was done, only that crows have a good memory).

Oh and are crows the ones that like to play in the snow for the hell of it or is that another type of bird?

I know that documentary too! It was awesome. They showed up at a crow's nest with a creepy mask - the crow parents taught their young ones a specific call connected with that "face" because they considered the weird mask-person a threat. Over a year later, they found the now grown young crow in a city and put on the mask again - and the crow recognised them and made the same connected-with-that-person call. It was awesome.

And yes, that's crows. There are two cute gifs/videos - one with two crows rolling down a snowed in car for fun and one with a crow who uses some round material to slide down a snowy roof - repeatedly.

And the one where two crows pit two cats that got too close to their nest against each other and have them fight. And the crows who just keep pulling other animals' tails just to annoy them.

Crows are awesome.

Apparently pet crows also give names to their caretakers. As in, they'll make a specific sound for you to call you that they won't use in any other circumstance or with anybody else.
