Yeah, I love Ava's Demon and I've been reading it since a little after it started, but about 2 updates into Gil's full introduction, it got really tedious for me, and I stopped reading weekly and decided to read after a month/month and a half's worth of updates. It's a lot more to read all at once, but it feels just a little less tedious now.

Otherwise, I agree. I get that sometimes life happens (I've decided if I ever get around to one of my original comics, I'm getting the entire story done ahead of time so there's no gaps/hiatuses) but one or two delays that go on for more than 2 weeks can sometimes throw off casual readership, I've heard.

This. It's a stunning comic and had me enthralled at first (especially the videos, wow), but I have to let the updates build up over a few months before I read them all at once or I'd completely forget what the point of all the pretty art was.
