Lots of grammar things irk me. Some I can understand at least a little. One that bothers me a lot, though, is "weary" when people mean to say "wary". Why do they do that? They don't sound alike and they mean nothing even close to the same thing. I've even seen it done by people whose first language is English!

Ugh, I hate that one because it always takes me a moment to realize that they don't actually mean that the character is *tired* of whatever they're talking about, which throws me out of the story.
