Maybe. Though, I can't imagine they'd get much support on the man hating front for this post.

Look on the bright side, this just shows that FSers are pretty level headed when it comes to what goes for one gender, goes for the other one deal.

Anon's crazy-cakes. No one's ever said men pining for women is wrong; the problem comes when they start calling them bitches and cunts when they don't play to the guy's expectations. OP's done nothing of the sort; they're just distressed, and yet they haven't called anyone names.

eh, she's getting similar responses but they're not worded NEARLY the same way they would be.

Probably because she didn't do the whole "it's because I'm a nice girl and guys only like assholes because they're dumb bitches" routine we see so often in posts whinging about the friendzone; heck, she didn't imply that it was his fault in any way, just hers. If a guy left that bit out, he'd be getting a more cordial reception as well.

Seriously.
And lots of people told her to move on. I've seen nobody on here telling her that she should get revenge on him or telling her that it was all his fault and he should be forced to date her because she listened to his issues and was "a nice girl".

Like I said, she's getting the same kind of thing, just usually nicely (if firmly) put.

This is true. Excellent point. She did seem to expect there would be something, but I think she realized right away that that wasn't rational. It's human nature; the best you can do is own it.

Yeeeaaah, quite a few of these seemed like try-hard "social experiments" but I've known more than a few girls to get themselves into this kind of situation IRL, so I'm not so sure either. Unrequited love happens all the time to both genders; it's just the misogynist rhetoric of the "friendzone" (dumb bitches hate nice guys; look at all the kindness coins I've deposited, sex should just fall out already!) that people take issue with.

Speaking as a woman who believes in feminism, "nice girls" (the woman equivalent of a "nice guy") do exist. Mostly, they take out their rage on the girl instead of their male crush though. Saying things like, "What does she have that I don't? She's so stupid, slutty, etc.!"

They're not as prominent as "nice guys", but they are out there. And it does suck to be the girl on the other side who dared to get into a long term relationship with their crush. :/
