help me find this webcomic?

It was black and white, fantasy or science-fiction, possibly post-apocalyptic.

It was slow-paced, at least at the beginning. It featured a humanoid riding a giant beast of burden as they traveled. Both the humanoid and the creature had these timers that indicated how much life they still had left, and both were near the end of their lifespans.

Hmmm... Gosh, it sounds rather familiar, but I just can't place it. Could it maybe have been something by Evan Dahm? (Rice Boy was my first thought, but I checked and that didn't match.)

If not, perhaps you could try whatwasthatone on livejournal? They're great for that sort of thing.

I keep thinking that, but the art style was a bit more... I don't know, dry? More like the kind of thing you'd find in old Western comics, very stylized, but a bit more in the "realistic" side of things. I want to say more mature/serious, but I'm not sure those terms fit. And there wasn't a bit of color there. It was kind of slow paced and with some narration too, I think? I don't even remember if it had dialogue or not, but I'm leaning towards no.

Thank you, in any case!
