Re: Tell me...
(Anonymous) 2013-09-03 02:14 am (UTC)(link)...he was in a lot of "typically Canadian" movies; i.e., "We are all straaaaaaaange north of the 49th parallel and here is the proof" e.g. The Lotus Eaters, Whale Music, and a bunch of others I have repressed the names of. So, this one time, I watched this movie that was a sendup of a Canadian production being made (this was in the days when CanCon was a viable investment for those with enough money to sink into it), where John Neville played a crazy old actor, trying to star in this movie that literally blew up in everyone's faces.
Then there was the one where he was the crazy old cat guy, and his Estranged Family(TM) moved in to keep him company and provide hospice care for him.
Come to think of, crazy old guys seemed to have been his stock in trade, which was very disappointing to the X-Phile in me, who would have rather seen more of the dastardly Well-Manicured Man.
