Not knowing what your exact complaint is, I couldn't comment on pacing versus update schedule. There's a couple of webcomics that I love dearly that work best when I read them in book-like chunks. There are some that keep me on edge from update to update. But, no, pacing is something that cannot be overlooked. But pacing is relative to your frame of reference.
