People seem to forget this all the time but the reality was they didn't like each other much and avoided spending time together.

They got on perfectly fine for the first half of their existence as a band. Paul and John were best friends! It wasn't until after touring that they actually started to fall apart. Mostly from being on top of each other for over 5 years straight. Hardly the same thing as disliking each other.

I think the idea of them as besties and "they didn't like each other" are both simplistic. John and Paul especially had a really complicated relationship. Though I guess by the last few years, that was true.
