Your friends do not have to like each other, and if you have patched things up with your BFF, it is nobody else's damn business that you stay friends with her, or whether or not you do this or that friend thing together. OTOH, it does sound a little sad that seeing a lot less of each other is "better for the friendship."

oh, to clarify she was my housemate for awhile so we were kind of oversaturated with each other, so dialing it way back to 1-2 times a month helped loads (she moved out and I got my own place). Wouldn't mind seeing her a bit more than that but, well, I work irregular shifts :C

Sometimes rooming with a friend can be the worst thing for a friendship.
