No. Which is worse, people who mercilessly attack the wives AND children of two actors OR the people who stick up for those wives? I am going to have to go to the ones not sending death threats to a woman and her child because they get in the way of things that don't exist.

I get what anon is saying. He/She doesn't like that people are fake-liking the wives just to be on the good side of fandom.

But yeah, given the level of crazy and vitriol in the Supernatural fandom, I think fake liking is better than real hating...

When I read things like this, I cannot comprehend why Jared and Jensen do not straight up walk away from this show and all the crazy that goes with it.

At the end of the day, it's just a job. Not worth the crap these two actors and their families put up with.

I wish they would. I so want to see Ackles in other stuff instead of tied up for another season.

I would think it's the bank balance. Regular roles are hard to come by and like gold dust. Leaving before the show is cancelled is usually a big mistake. Rare exceptions exist like George Clooney but there are a lot of actors who didn't get anywhere after leaving.

They can ignore the craziness. They get paid big money to attend conventions and put up with it there for a couple of days and then otherwise they can just get on with their lives.

I was wondering why spouses and families had to be brought into the discussion at all, and then I thought, "Oh, right. RPF shenanigans." I'm not in the fandom, but I agree with you. I'll take stanning over bashing.

Oh, I wasn't referring to the tinhatters who sent death threats and shit because, yeah, that's WAY worse. I was talking about the ones that just talked amongst themselves and whined that the ~~~secret gay romance~~~ between Jensen and Jared wasn't happening.
