Um. I liked her Ruby.

I don't really understand why this is an unpopular opinion.

I can't speak for everyone who didn't like her as Ruby, but for me, it was like she was playing a completely different character. I loved Katie!Ruby. She was awesome, badass and snarky. I shipped her with both Dean and Sam. Gen!Ruby wasn't and I kinda just wanted her to go away. I didn't think her acting was all that great. I know nothing about her as a person and while I obviously watch the show, I stay far away from the fandom.

Regarding Ruby: These are my feelings pretty much exactly (except for the shipping her with Sam part - I really only shipped Ruby with Dean for some reason, don't even know why). Gen's Ruby just didn't work for me. She was like a completely different character. Probably why one of my SPN headcanons is that Ruby 1.0 and Ruby 2.0 were two different people and the second one was just using Ruby's identity to get close to them. The season four Ruby was super poor writing imho.

Fair enough. That might be why I liked Gen's Ruby, actually: I didn't like Katie's Rudy at all.

Me too. And that's pretty much the only interest I have in her (though she's pretty and it seems like she and Jared and Thomas are very happy, so, go Gen.) The other wives? None at all, really. But it sucks when people hate on them. Get a life, folks.
