I love femslash but I'm not in any fandoms right now that have pairings I like. I'm sure there are shippable female characters out there in other fandoms but since I don't like the canon I don't read the fic. The fandoms I'm into right now only have shippable male characters. Get over it.

Why so defensive? Oh, and, unless there is literally nothing but sausages for miles in your fandom, you don't have the final say on which characters are shippable or not.

DA

My fandoms are mostly one woman or less or else the women don't meet or are family. Some people ship them but I don't. I'm not the final say on who is shippable but I'm the final say on who I ship.

I don't see that AYRT is being defensive? Maybe it's just me but you come off as an offensive condescending asshole and it looks like that's what they're responding to. Maybe it's just a tone issue.

Why do you keep attacking people for not reading a certain quota of femslash?

(Anonymous) 2013-09-05 02:25 am (UTC)(link)
Good for you, you're in the minority. The fact that femslash is so incredibly rare in almost every fandom ever says a lot more than your individual experience.

So what? If you're so sad and whiny that people don't like what you like, write the stuff yourself. Nobody's stopping you.

This is the most useless thing to say. The people who like it already are the ones writing it. The fact that so few like it is the problem. And no, this isn't just a matter of taste, there's definitely something wrong with this picture.
