I have no problem saying I'm not into femslash because I'm a straight woman for whom the presence of at least one male character is a prerequisite for enjoying romance or smut. However, I think som do perceive a certain pressure to come up with explanations and justifications beyond that.

To my mind any self-identified feminist femslash fans who refuse to accept 'I'm into men' as as valid reason for not digging f/f are shooting themselves in the foot. Tell people that 'I don't swing that way' isn't a good enough explanation and they'll start finding reasons why the female characters and/or f/f pairings in their fandom are crap.
