I watch a huge amount of anime with my little sister. We've got over a decade difference in ages, and it's perfect for sibling bonding given the comparative lack of other shared interests, and her love of it and the associated fandom.

Well she just asked me to download a show to watch with her when I next come down.

For what it's worth, out of all of the episodes, that part is only the last, what, 2-3? And both my husband and I were completely confused by it.

The rest is just extreme otaku giggly stuff. In fact, a major part of it was about the brother having a relationship with one of his sister's friends, so...yeah.

But I guess if the fact that she focuses on that kind of H game is too much, well, I can't help with that. It was weird but I didn't get particularly squicked myself, but that doesn't mean others would find it okay. *shrug*

if she's not trolling it's also possible someone trolled her -- "hey, this is a great series you should watch with your sibling" *plays clips from some other show* (considering she has to ask you to download something, it didn't sound like she necessarily has internet access for herself)

but, uh, did you ask her if she knew what it was about? that'd be the first thing I'd ask anyone who suggested it...

I hate to be That Dick, but Oreimo is on Crunchyroll for free (I think)? Why are you downloading anything? At least give the companies some ad revenue if nothing else. There's no damn reason to still download fansubs anymore.

As strange as it may sound, but some people are even today not blessed with a fast internet connection. You can download a series in bits and pieces during a long timespan. For streaming, you need a stable connection that doesn't require you to let one episode load for hours before you can watch it (and then during the time you waited, connection went poof and you find only a part of the episode manage to load before it happened and you realise you have waited in vain).

It's really annoying.

See, it's funny because CR started off as a fansub streaming site, gained publicity, and then proceeded to screw over another site that was offering the same thing they're offering now. And let's not even start on region locks.
In other words, crunchy devs pls go
