Ahh, nostalgia

You know this was my first fandom ever? And I mean I was there back in old school days. When it was still a D&D comic and they were worshipping Lloth. Havent read it in years. I saw the place turn to shit. Maybe helped it a little.

But I was one of the most vocal opponents when he started the first "games". It was hard on the artists, and more annoyingly, he didn't honor some of the votes. If you are going to have people literally pay to put in an option and that option gets voted on, seems to reason that's what you go with. Not making a page lecturing the people on why that was a bad choice.

I got thrown out on a technicality but it's obvious he was just waiting to toss me as I'd not only annoyed him personally but was disagreeing with him in the forums. It was a bitch move, honestly. I could have respected "I don't like you talking shit about me, you're gone" a lot more then "you can't hyperlink like that it's in the rules, you're gone" (this was the days when bandwidth was smaller numbers).

4chan invaded you for a reason Kern. And it wasn't me. But I laughed really really hard.

OP

I wasn't there for the Lolth chapters, but I did start there around chapter 4, I believe? The one where Rik was Ariel's boyfriend, and not his pedo child rapist drama plot point. But still kind of early.
I liked the themes in the original. It was different. Now, it just seems so... lifeless. Like it's missing the spark it had. Like it's any other interchangeable generic fantasy tale, except coated in a thin layer of pretty anime~desu brown elf paint.

I remember not too long ago, Kirt pulled the pulled out an entire site game that I think people even paid for, because they were playing competitively, not cooperatively. I'm not talking about botting or anything else. They just... didn't play the game the way he wanted them to. So he swept it up from under their feet, and threatened to ban anyone he caught playing it that way, ever again.

I remember I was one of the ones with a dissenting opinion to the reboot. I like the reboot, but it's just not the same. So I calmly stated nostalgic feelings for the old. Nothing mean, mind you, just an opinion. Apparently you're not allowed to do that, because I got bitched out for being "ungrateful for all the hard work" put into the reboot.
Ugh. I haven't really participated much, if at all, on the forums since then. I don't even want to fucking bother.

I remember I also frequented the general chat part of the forums, before those got swept out, too, because apparently people can't chitchat and socialize about anything that ISN'T Drowtales. God forbid people make friends and not be praising the ground Kern walks on at absolutely all times in his presence. Even though the subject of the comic was frequently brought up and casually discussed, even in the chat forum.

It's all just super annoying, and I don't want to stop reading the comic for it. I enjoy the comic. But this guy's attitude IS. SHIT.
