He was referring to the fact that he wasn't a therapist, though, which is...not quite the same as a doctor who practices physical medicine. I know he's not one of those either, but he studies gamma radiation...I feel like he'd know a thing or two about certain aspects of physical medicine.

Well, that's why it didn't bother me, anyway.

Eh, not really. If he studied physics he really wouldn't be familiar with physical medicine. Yes, they can overlap, but studying one doesn't make you competent in the other. Heck, I'm studying biophysical chemistry and while I know about anatomy and metabolism, etc, you wouldn't find me playing medical doctor to anyone.

Then again, I'm not sure about his major.

Well, again, studying gamma radation...he's probably got to know a thing or two about the effects it might have on his body and how he might have to deal with it (he didn't expect the Hulk though, heheh).

And besides, I agree with the other below who are saying he was probably just asked for help and only really for basic things. It didn't look like he was performing surgeries there or anything...probably just basic stuff.
