He's not awful. He's a mostly untreated autistic guy.

I mean he's hateful and repellent--I wouldn't want to be anywhere near the guy--but I wouldn't judge him by the same moral standards. His parents appear to be morons and he was more or less raised by trolls who enjoyed provoking a mentally handicapped person into, among other things, sexual acts on camera.

I love the dumb sonichu comics but the rest of the Chris Chan saga really makes me uncomfortable.

oh is that why he is so "out there"? The fuck was wrong with his parents? Because I'm always a bit baffled on why he's so...so...repellent? I mean I know some autistic people (adults) and while we've had our awkward moments or misunderstandings none of them are like Chris Chan. But I guess the folk's fucking up raising him would be a huge cause

But then, I wouldn't expect random people to know all about him. Like Anne was trying to explain to him in the comments, people don't know he is autistic or if he's having a bad day. They just see an angry loud person and react accordingly (I would flee for the hills D:)

lol. He's been arrested/almost arrested a few times for sexually harassing women at Target/Wal-Mart. He tried to get people to harass a staff member at the college he was banned from because she kept telling him he couldn't solicit sex on campus. He would shout racist things at African American children at this game place he was permabanned from, he got into a fight with a child there also. He's also terribly homophobic.

I honestly don't think you can blame the fact that he's a horrible human being solely on the fact that he's autistic

I think you're right. Being autistic doesn't automatically excuse a person for being homophobic, sexist, and racist. Nor does it allow them to get out the mess they caused for themselves by screaming 'I'm autistic! I'm autistic! You can't hold me responsible for myself and my actions!' Which is exactly what this guy did.

I had a class with an autistic guy once. He seemed like a pretty severe case, saying inappropriate things, calling his mom in the middle of class while someone else was talking, etc. But once you pointed out that what he did was wrong, he would apologize. I get that there are differences in severity, but it is possible to be autistic and not be a jackass.

He isn't autistic, he's an juvenile asshole. There is a difference.

Sometimes juvenile assholes are autistic.
