Secret 1 - Gaming addiction

I'm gaming all the time. I bought a phone solely to keep playing apps on the go. It doesn't even matter *what* I'm playing as long as I'm playing *something*. I'm only happy when I know that there's something to play waiting for me after I finish whatever it is I'm doing that *isn't* games, and when I don't have that waiting for me, I spend hours and hours searching for something, anything new to play.

I think I'm literally addicted to gaming.

Maybe it's the fictional "achievement" because real life isn't going anywhere fast?

Secret 2 - Pokémon Gold

[personal profile] transcriptanon 2013-09-07 07:46 pm (UTC)(link)
[Picture is Lance from the videogame series "Pokémon". He is a young man with light skin and spiky light red hair wearing a blue and black suit (pants, closed jacket, cape, boots) with orange lines. He is gesturing with one arm and looking angry.]

The rivals in the games have always been irrelevant to me. Even when I was younger, I'd forget what they looked like in-game, and what I'd named them. I just didn't care about them.

So the first time I played Gold, I thought the comment about Giovanni's son having red hair was a reference to Lance. I never realized you rival/Silver had red hair. I'm not much into the fandom, I just like the games, so nobody was around to correct me until a friend made a random comment about this a few years ago.

It'll always be Lance in my mind though. This one little misunderstanding led me to inventing some rather fucked-up headcanon and I love it. But people give me weird looks when I mention it and then I feel stupid [sad face emoticon].

Secret 3 - White Cat by Holly Black

[personal profile] transcriptanon 2013-09-07 07:49 pm (UTC)(link)
[Picture is the cover of the book "White Cat" by the author Holly Black, with a blurb saying: "Dangerously, darkly gorgeous fantasy." -Cassandra Clare. It features a young man with light skin and short dark hair wearing a black leather jacket and black leather gloves staring at the viewer with a serious expression on his face and holding a white cat in his arms.]

I wish this series had a fandom. Holly Black is actually a good writer. (Even with the stupid Cassandra Clare quote seen here.)

And I would love curse worker fusion Alternate Universes with other fandoms.

Secret 4 - Temple Run

[personal profile] transcriptanon 2013-09-07 07:52 pm (UTC)(link)
[Picture is a screen-capture of the videogame "Temple Run". It shows a man frantically running through a road of stone over the sea with various signs showing meters run and scored points. He seems to be wearing a white shirt and blue pants with either red hair or a red bandanna on the head. The road behind him appears to be collapsing.]

I didn't know what people meant when they said someone's voice turned them on... until I heard this guy grunt when he jumps.

Really? The default character in a freaking Apple game?

Secret 5 - Attack on Titan, Shingeki no Kyojin

[personal profile] transcriptanon 2013-09-07 07:54 pm (UTC)(link)
[Picture is a toy/figurine of a Titan from the anime "Shingeki no Kyojin" or "Attack on Titan". It looks like a human figure with no skin. It has a huge head in proportion to its short body, in the figurine.]

I recently caught a nasty disease that gave me a severe fever. Pretending I was the Colossal Titan helped me endure it.

Secret 6 - Anime and Manga

[personal profile] transcriptanon 2013-09-07 07:55 pm (UTC)(link)
[Picture is white text over a black blank background.]

I wish I still liked anime and manga. But a lot of the series that seem like stuff I would like just go on too long. I can't commit to that. I used to be into One Piece, but dropped it when it showed no sign of stopping.

I just like short series, and I wish more manga would know when to end.

Secret 7 - Shipping

[personal profile] transcriptanon 2013-09-07 07:56 pm (UTC)(link)
[Picture is yellow text over red background and black and red text over white background.]

HOLD. DO NOT SHIP. BY DATE: I wish people would stop taking what I ship or don't ship as fucking political statements.

Secret 8 - Alvin and the Chipmunks

[personal profile] transcriptanon 2013-09-07 07:57 pm (UTC)(link)
[Picture is Simon from the CGI animated movie "Alvin and the Chipmunks". He is a chipmunk standing on his rear legs, making a piece/V sign with his fingers, wearing black, thick-rimmed eyeglasses and a blue sweatshirt with a hoodie.]

It annoys me so much that Simon isn't the eldest brother.

Secret 9 - Scarlet and Black (1993 British drama), Ewan McGregor

[personal profile] transcriptanon 2013-09-07 08:00 pm (UTC)(link)
An anon provided the transcription. Thank you, anon!

Image is the cover for "Scarlet & Black," a British four-part television drama series from 1993, which stars Ewan McGregor.

The image depicts McGregor, a young white man with long dark hair, twice, standing before a red background. On the left he is wearing an old-fashioned French military uniform (the same fashion worn by Napoleon Bonaparte) and on the right, he is wearing all black. The two images are overlayed so that, standing side by side, one McGregor slightly overlaps the other.

"I like Ewan McGregor, but this cover is really putting me off watching this movie. I just can't take it seriously. He looks like conjoined twins here!"

Note: I haven't seen this series but Wiki tells me McGregor's character is ambitious and imagines himself much like Napoleon, so I assume the actor plays a dual role along those lines.

Secret 10 - Pink Floyd

[personal profile] transcriptanon 2013-09-07 08:01 pm (UTC)(link)
[Picture is the... inflatable or plastic figurine of a boar? It is black with bone-colored tusks and has a bunch of graffiti and pictures over it, like crossed hammers, a clam of sorts, "What's wrong with people?", the Star of David, "Everything will be okay, just keep consuming", "you better [truncated]".]

I can no longer listen to any Pink Floyd song without remembering this disgusting thing. Thanks a lot, Waters.

Other people explained the image of the secret in the comments in this thread:

(Anonymous) 2013-09-07 08:10 pm (UTC)

I believe it's an inflatable pig, along the lines of the one floating above Battersea Power Station on the cover of Pink Floyd's 1977 album "Animals".

(Anonymous) 2013-09-07 08:17 pm (UTC)

Previous anon is correct about it being an inflatable pig and that it's from the Animals album. The style of the text is copied from the album The Wall and the marching hammers in the circle are from The Wall, too.

(Anonymous) 2013-09-07 09:16 pm (UTC)

Also the truncated quote: "You better run" is from the classic The Wall album. (I can't say or read that without hearing the scream of the original in my head. Great stuff.)

kamino_neko 2013-09-07 08:40 pm (UTC)

The clamshell is the logo of Shell oil (or, rather, a variation thereof - the inside is gold in the actual logo).
