I had hope they become canon but it seems as if two women who have a child together and love each other are still too horrible for mainstream tv.

Btw, I don't even ship them but I would have loved to see such a relationship/family situation in a mainstream/Disney show.

Uhhh... one woman is the other woman's step-grandmother, yes? And did horrible things to... practically everyone?

(Anonymous) 2013-09-10 06:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, yeah. Forced against her will at 18 to be married to a man 3 decades older to be the "mother" of a girl who was 12. That's the more fucked up part than "former step-grandmother of parents that the character never knew forty years before"

Love each other? LOVE each other?

HAHAHAHAHAHA.

I admit I'm running a couple of episodes behind, but have they even stopped trying to kill each other every given opportunity yet, let alone despising each other?

***SPOILERS***

Regina has tried to turn good but it's mainly for Henry's benefit, and I think Emma is willing to give her a chance at redemption. But I don't think they're really friends.

I'm pretty sure the main reason the showrunners have for never planning to put them together has far more to do with how Regina ruined Emma's life, and has tried repeatedly to kill her and her family, and even managing to almost (even if accidentally) kill Henry in the process.

Doubt it. They're going to put Emma together with someone who also ruined her life and is the son of the man who ruined everyone's lives too.

love each other

I

uh

Have you... seen the show?

Have a child together? You say that like that's a decision that they made, as if they chose to get pregnant or adopt together. They do not have a child together. Emma had a biological child she chose to give up for adoption, one who found her and who she became worried about the well-being of. Regina chose to adopt a child, one who she possibly loves (for whatever value of love she can actually feel), but one who she definitely lied to and manipulated and endangered. That is not them having a child together.

To be fair, we've also seem a fuckload of endangering from Emma too. Not to mention kidnapping and such.
