Kinda inspired by yesterday's slur thread...

... what's the strangest expletive (not insult, say, you stubbed your toe or something) you use? If you're an ESL, what does it mean when you translate it to English?

I'll start with mine, in Swissgerman: "Himmuplütter" which could be translated to "Heaven's cow droppings"

I don't really have any weird ones. I sometimes yell 'fuck a duck' when I really hurt myself or accidentally break something.

I yell 'fuck bucket!'...

"Blazing tangerines". In English.

In other languages - probably "street hydrant"... and yes, it makes sense neither in English nor in the original language and I don't even know

"Wednesday".

That's not the one I use the most, but it happens. Because "merde" and "mercredi" (in French) start off the same way, so it's like saying "FUUU-dge".

Ooh, same in Finnish, but with Friday! (perkele - perjantai)

e: "Same" referring to substituting a day of the week for a swear that sounds similar, not that the swears mean the same thing. Derp.

"Jesus Christopher" is probably the weirdest one I'm willing to say out loud.

I find "Oh, blood!" strangely satisfying to mutter when annoyed.

The English translations would be 'Hell's sixteen' and 'shitberries'.

when my brother was really young he called people "pig-lickers" when they pissed him off and I picked it up and still use it sometimes... it just sounds so filthy!

"Bob Saget on a pogo stick", or just "Bob Saget". Can't take credit for the latter, though, cribbed that one from Tourette's Guy. Also known to use various permutations of "Sweet Deep-Fried Batman On A Cracker".

Homo Sapience probably (in Dutch Homo is used like gay)

Quite often I'll use feck instead of fuck, and sometimes I'll still use nuddy fudgekins from Marge Simpson since I used to say that as a kid to avoid getting told off for swearing.

Shit-bag (drittsekk) - bad slur, dick-sock (kuklest) - half-bad slur, and jesting-magpie (tullskjur) - almost cosy slur.

'klotzak' in Dutch just means 'fucker' but it's so much fun to say. :D

I don't know how to say it because I don't speak afrikaans but my Dad translated a curse he used to literally meaning, "you make my butt hairs sticky."

I can't think of any of my own, but my sister's favorite is "son of a motherless goat".

I use "crap on a stick" a lot or if I'm feeling vulgar "penis." Lately I've taken to saying "oh, bother" when I'm mildly annoyed at something not working the way I think it should. I think that's a Winnie The Pooh-ism?

Not an expletive, but it's used a bit during my younger school days.

"You Blur like Sotong, eh!"

Roughly translated, it becomes this:

"You're dumber than squid, man!"

Ah the joys of Manglish...

jesusfuckingshitfuck (more generic swears in a stream)

I was in a fair bit of pain and couldn't work out what to say

Muggleshucker, and various other strings of syllables that sound like it. Because I have determined that words containing 'ugg' and 'uck' sounds are the dirtiest sounding, thus even nonsense words with those sounds are good swears.

(Anonymous) 2013-09-09 05:06 am (UTC)(link)
Sometimes I'll just mutter semi-intelligible swear-like sounds. "R'ck'n' fr'ck'n' k'rfr'ck'n--!"

I tend to randomly mash swear words together, like fuckballs or shitfuck or whatever happens to come to mind.

(Anonymous) 2013-09-09 12:06 pm (UTC)(link)
"Shitting fuckwaffles!" Alternatively, I like using "Vasheden", which is some kind of Qunari swearword from Dragon Age. I just like the way you can spit it out.
