I was thinking they're more like the bisexuals of sexuality? Like

if we have gender spectrum it's gay - straight spectrum, bisexuals are in the middle

and then sexuality is like sexual(?) - asexual spectrum with demisexuality in the middle???


Then you have that parallel of straights/gays frowning on bi, sexuals/asexuals frowning on demisexual

I kinda like the term "gray ace" for this. But yeah, sexuality is annoyingly complicated for some people. It's not a matter of wanting to be a special snowflake. For some people it's easy. For some people it's stupid and annoying and complicated and it would be nice if it were easy.
