People can define themselves however they like, but that doesn't mean the rest of us have to take them seriously.

Yup. I have every sympathy for everyone going through the crappy phase of trying to work out who you are and who you fancy. Especially with no active experience to draw on. It's hard and it's miserable, and I'm glad I'll never be back in that place again.

But I still reserve the right to laugh my hole off at the term "demisexual" until anyone can describe it in a way that resembles anything other than an overactive special-snowflake gland.
