Did I submit this in my sleep?

Seriously though when I was young and lonely fandom was a magical place full of outsiders who "understood me" to me. I wished fanfiction .net was a school that I could go to so I wouldn't be the outsider.

But then I grew up and left high school , went to college, worked for awhile. Just generally grew up and discovered high school was not the world. Then when I looked at the fandom community, I realized that they were just like the high school experience I hated.

People starting drama, picking on each other for dumb shit, frustration and petty jerks.

(Though I wouldn't mind going to a writer school. Just not for the reasons I wanted to before. The student body wouldn't be a walk through a daisy field but writing is fucking fascinating and I can churn out a mini essay in three hours tops. )

I'm going to school for writing right now and I love it, but the majority of writing students are really pretentious and annoying.

AYRT

Oh?

Just out of curiosity what's it called, where is it. Do they have just more writing classes than anything else or all writing classes.

I'm so curious.

english major here, thinking of getting my master's in creative writing. basically i've noticed most english majors are very pretentious and i feel completely out of place in some of my classes.

then i realized half those assholes are bullshitting everything they say, just in a pretentious tone instead of a questioning one (like the scared english majors). that leaves those of us in the middle (who mostly go -_-) looking bad. time to learn to bullshit with mooooooore gusto!
