(Anonymous) 2013-09-09 11:32 pm (UTC)(link)Seriously though when I was young and lonely fandom was a magical place full of outsiders who "understood me" to me. I wished fanfiction .net was a school that I could go to so I wouldn't be the outsider.
But then I grew up and left high school , went to college, worked for awhile. Just generally grew up and discovered high school was not the world. Then when I looked at the fandom community, I realized that they were just like the high school experience I hated.
People starting drama, picking on each other for dumb shit, frustration and petty jerks.
(Though I wouldn't mind going to a writer school. Just not for the reasons I wanted to before. The student body wouldn't be a walk through a daisy field but writing is fucking fascinating and I can churn out a mini essay in three hours tops. )

(Anonymous) 2013-09-10 02:24 am (UTC)(link)Just out of curiosity what's it called, where is it. Do they have just more writing classes than anything else or all writing classes.
I'm so curious.

then i realized half those assholes are bullshitting everything they say, just in a pretentious tone instead of a questioning one (like the scared english majors). that leaves those of us in the middle (who mostly go -_-) looking bad. time to learn to bullshit with mooooooore gusto!
