When I was their age I had a best friend.

We experimented with each other.

It wasn't weird. It's actually pretty normal. I know sex and kids is a skeevy combination but sexual experimentation and curiosity is a normal part of child development.

While I don't HEAVILY ship these two, and I'd certainly not be looking to get off on the idea of them doing anything, I don't see it as very weird or unusual at all. Friends can touch parts and kiss and be affectionate and love each other in romantic ways that confuse the platonic... and it's okay.
