What did Amanda Palmer do? I always feel like I'm missing something when people talk about how much they hate her?

From what i can tell more recently people hate her over some fuss about getting a lot of money from her album kickstarter but still naively asking musicians to join her for free. There are many older controversies as well. IIRC she's offended people over suicide, rape, disability, gender... too many to list here. It boils down to doing dumb shit and never apologizing because "ART".

And then there are people who hate her because she's "weird" and "acting out for attention" and "doesn't shave her armpits"

The first kind seem legit to me, even if I don't always agree. The second kind are idiots.
