Fandom does have more that sex and weird stuff and it's sad that even fans forget that.

Fandom doesn't even just have to be about fanfic. I like fanfic but I prefer long conversations about canon myself.

Yep, I was about to say that. Granted, I have some half-assed fanfic in stumbling progress when I'm not struggling with original fiction, but I'd rather knock down a new anthology or novel than to read fanfic of stuff from last year.
