Here's the thing. I've liked fanfiction since before I knew what fanfiction was. In the dark times before we had the internet where we lived, my 2 best girlfriends and I would write terrible self-insert Star Trek the Next Generation and Voyager fic. We kept that shit to ourselves. My husband and his brother wrote self insert Star Trek fic that they keep trying to get me to read even though I now hate self-insert fic, I don't care how good it is, I want to read about the characters from the show, not your made up characters.

Sorry, went a little off topic with a long-standing rant to my husband. Anywho, I like fan fiction, both gen and not. But why oh why oh why would you bring that up with the actor? Who thinks that's a good idea? I get so much second hand embarrassment off of that sort of behavior.
